The company has looked at buying vehicles for use as Turbo Rentals in Hawaii as a possible venture. However, the possible pay back numbers did not yield adequate rate of return for the amount of capital outlay required to put the venture together. The company is looking for new investment opportunities that makes sense for the company as well as the presenter.

A rate of return (RoR) is the net gain or loss of an investment over a specified time period, expressed as a percentage of the investment’s initial cost. When calculating the rate of return, you are determining the percentage change from the beginning of the period until the end. The company uses this method to decide if they want to proceed further with the review of a possible investment opportunity.
Recently the company looked into helping the spouse of guys who owned hot rods generate rental income from renting the hot rods after their husbands passed. The hurdle with that project was where to maintain the vehicles as well as the cost of the entire operations. With Vintage cars there is ahigh rate of theft of the original parts which the company had no good way to control that and or having enough knowledge to properly inspect the vehicles when they were returned from the rental.
The company looked into brokering the Hot Rods for the Spouses, but again with no real expertise and the needed licensing that venture did not go any further.
